現職
At Broadcom (Broadcom Corporation was acquired by Avago Technologies in 2016 and renamed Broadcom Limited), involved in driving the vision of Broadcom’s research and development activities and long-term technology strategy. Also a member of the Board of Directors. Broadcom is a global leader in providing semiconductor solutions for wired and wireless communications.
At UCLA, involved in teaching and research in digital signal processing and integrated circuit design. Primary focus of research program is the development of high-performance inte-grated circuits for communications signal processing applications. Key project areas include high bit-rate modems and adaptive equalizers, direct digital frequency synthesizers, high-speed digital filtering, digital subscriber line transceivers and wireless spread spectrum transceivers. Graduated 18 Ph.D. students. On leave of absence since 1995 while full-time at Broadcom.
At PairGain Technologies, involved as part-time consultant in systems analysis and design of high bit-rate digital transceivers for applications in digital subscriber lines (DSL). Work involved the development of algorithms and VLSI architectures for modulation and demodulation, echo cancellation, adaptive equalization, and synchronization techniques.
At TRW, was a Section Manager in the Digital Processing Laboratory of the Military Electronics Division. Involved in the design and development of advanced satellite and ground-based digital communication systems. Specific projects involved the systems analysis and hardware development of high-speed digital filters, modems and adaptive equalizers for high bit-rate digital radio systems and spread spectrum military communication systems.
